Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring is a way to measure and treat high blood pressure. High blood pressure means that your high blood pressure is at least 130 mmHg and/or your low blood pressure is at least 80 mmHg.
Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring records your blood pressure readings over a 24-hour period, whether you are awake or asleep. This happens outside of your doctor's office while you go about your daily activities. They wear a bracelet on their arm and a small device attached to a strap or belt.
